SCRC supports competitive high-school rowing for athletes from DSBN, NCDSBN, and independent schools. Train with your classmates, race the Niagara high-school circuit through spring, and build toward the CSSRA (Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Association) Championships - held right here in St. Catharines on the same course you train on.

CSSRA Championships are held right here in St. Catharines - your school crew gets to race on the same course you train on.

Open to all Niagara schools

DSBN, NCDSBN, and independent schools all participate. If your school has a rowing program, SCRC supports it.

Compact, intense season

April through June. From first practice on the water to CSSRA in 8 weeks - bring focus and you’ll race fast.

Fees & registration

Handled by your school

Each school sets its own registration fees and deadlines for high-school rowing - SCRC doesn’t collect fees directly for the school season. Your school’s lead coach is the right place to start. Athletes still need a current RCA + Row Ontario membership ($76.50 for competing youth athletes) before stepping into a boat. See full 2026 fee chart

First time rowing with SCRC?

Every athlete needs a Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) account before their first practice. It takes 5 minutes, and the one-time $76.50 RCA + Row Ontario fee covers you for the calendar year. Already have an account? You're all set.

Set up your RCA account

Talk to your school’s rowing coach

Each school program has its own lead coach who handles fees, practice schedule, and crew assignments. Not sure who to talk to? Ask your school’s athletic director or PE department.

Complete the SCRC registration form

Fill out the under-18 Jotform with your athlete's details, parent contact, emergency contact, and waiver acknowledgements. SCRC needs this on file alongside your school program registration.
